Benefits of Booking a Photography Session In-Studio

Don't get us wrong, outdoor portraits on location are fun and can be incredibly beautiful! However, with the unpredictable South Florida weather, having an indoor option away from the humidity and rain can save you the time of rescheduling due to elements beyond our control.

The look of studio portraits are trending on social media, but these aren't your mother's J.C. Penney portraits. Not only do we seek fun, natural poses, but our main goal is to make sure the whole family has a great time.

Side note: when I was 4, my mom took me to Sears to get my portrait done. I was incredibly shy and I think we got only one photo where my eyes aren't full of tears...that dude with the camera was scary! An intimidating experience for kids is what I seek to avoid at all costs. I've been a nanny, a babysitter, and I teach Sunday School every week to 5-6 year olds. I love kids and want this to be a playful time for them. Plus, we have a "treasure chest" full of little toys if we need to bust out the bribery (don't tell them, it's a surprise!). Don't be embarrassed if your kid doesn't want to sit still. I get it. We go with the flow over here.

There are many benefits to photographing in our studio, including:

  • Background flexibility. We can change out different colors according to the mood you're looking to portray.

  • Climate control. No more wind to mess the hair that took you an hour to curl! No more frizz because of the humidity. No sweating in your photos and no more rescheduling due to rain.

  • Privacy. Random people love poking around photo shoots. It can be awkward having passersby watch you (or your kids) if we're in a public place.

  • Comfort. Our studio has easily-accessible, clean bathrooms. You don't have to change your clothes or take a break in a dirty park restroom (or hold it if there's not one around!). We guarantee our mirrors are better than the fuzzy ones in the beach bathroom, too.

  • Location convenience. We're located just off Indiantown Rd, close to I-95 in Jupiter in a safe office park. We also have plenty of parking, so finding a spot will never be an issue.

  • Lighting. I love positioning sunlight in your hair on an outdoor shoot, but my studio lighting designed to make you look absolutely fabulous. We have a little more control over creating mood with studio lighting as well.

  • Containment. Let's face it, kids get restless. Sometimes they run away (we pray it's not towards traffic!). We can at least contain them in the studio if they're a flight risk.
